Wash pk over NYJ week 1 reg season

Will Wash romp in this game? Vinny is just coming off injury himself and got his first action tonight. On top of that, he is positively ancient (we all know what happens to the skills of good qbs when they hang on too long). I think Vinny is a huge downgrade vs. Pennington. It looks like 3rd stringer Bollinger may be unavailable for this game too.

Several places took the 9/4 Wash game OTB, but not all. SIA,et al. still had the game pickem this AM. I made several large bets on Wash on the premise the starting QB has got to be worth at least a line move of a couple of points, at which time I'll buy some back for my middle, if I'm wrong, OH NOOOO!

A veteran like Testeverde will be able to step in, I wouldn't do any bridge jumping wagers just because of the injury to Pennington. Testeverde still has a gun, knows the off and has the confidence of his teammates. I guess if you loved Wash in this tilt you would even like them better now. Testerverde is still in good shape and is one of the stronger qb's in the nfl believe it or not. The Pennington injury makes Vinny's health paramount though as the jets would be in deep trouble if they had to go to the 3rd string, but so would 75% of nfl teams. If the jets have a rough start it will have less to do with Vinny than the team.

Vinny is hurt as it is. He is 40 this year and started 1-3 for the Jets last year. I agree he "was" good at Cleveland and in his early years as a Jet. No way the line does not move and I also took advantage of a PK and see at least 2.5 up to 3.5. Might be a good play to hold on to considering Wash had a record breaking number of fans in the tilt against Balt. Home advantage in this one is key. GL to everyone though.

it all depends on wash def scheme

if they play zone and play passive always playing against the run w/ martin...
vinny can still pick the def apart w/ play action

however if they blitze early and often to make vin lose his timing and balance... its all over

when 1 team finds the exact plan to exploit vinny the ny year is over

wash should offer bellichek 1 mill to gameplan game 1( im not kidding. i think he is a genius. he made parcells)

It started as a pick. I took the Jets before Chad busted his wrist. I have a feeling Testaverde is going to come out looking like shit and I'm going to lose this one. But if they try to ride atop Martin's back maybe they have a chance.
